We just finished an absolutely fantastic Wall program yesterday. Everyone there saw, heard and felt the amazing breakthroughs and leaps forward by the participants. We know that these things do not just happen. The assisting team was highly instrumental not only in creating the necessary supportive environment but in actually sparking, encouraging and acknowledging the great changes by the participants. Please give a warm hug next time you see Rhonda Hunter, Steph Buchanan (also logistics captain) and Kathleen Payne (also team captain). Thanks a lot!
As many of you know, I'm running for city council Oct. 18 and I'd be delighted to have the skills of any grads helping me out. Let's make it a win-win! Here's an unpaid political announcement:
PAC MEMBERS NEEDED FOR CITY COUNCIL CAMPAIGN:
Pursuit grad Kerry Diotte is running for city council in the Oct. 18 civic election in the new Ward 11.
He is a veteran journalist, former city hall newspaper columnist and has completed the Pursuit of Excellence, the Wall and the Advancement of Excellence.
Several Pursuit grads are already helping Kerry?s campaign, as is Bobby Ng.
Because there are only six weeks to go in the campaign, Kerry needs to know if you might help out ASAP.
What could be better than having Kerry bringing Pursuit principles to city council?
There are all kinds of duties: door-knocking with Kerry, writing news releases, placing lawn signs, website work, graphic design, errands, inputting information, organizing others ... There?s something for everyone whether you?re an analyzer, supporter, controller or promoter.
What?s in it for you?
You?ll be fully participating in something new and exciting and get a first-hand, behind-the-scenes view of how a big-city election campaign is run.
You?ll get to practice key Pursuit concepts such as agreement creation, win-win and many others.
You?ll meet some amazing people on Kerry?s team and in the general public.
