About Me
Sept. 2, 2010 Hello Fellow Pursuit Alumni: I went to an introduction seminar for the Pursuit of Excellence in Edmonton last year presented by Bobby Ng and signed up on the spot to take the course. Then it was on to the Wall and Advancement of Excellence. I'd been a journalist for 30 years and needed new challenges. Largely because of what I learned in those courses I took the plunge and am running for Edmonton city council in the Oct. 18 election in Ward 11, where I live. I have used many of the key things I've learned in these courses to tackle this new challenge and were it not for Bobby and the Pursuit courses I might not have taken the plunge. The "agreement-creation" concept and "full participation" concept have been godsends. Applying these two concepts alone has given me the tools and the drive to build an amazing campaign team from nothing. With continued hard work, our team will win in Ward 11. My team is strong, diverse and talented. It's a brand-new ward with no incumbent. I'm a former city hall newspaper columnist and know the ropes. I've had assistance on my campaign from fellow Pursuit grads (and from Bobby Ng) and I would love to have others help out on the campaign -- whether it be to make phone calls, knock on doors with me, do some office work, help with sign placement, do graphic design, writing, running errands, etc. If you do choose to fully participate in this you'll be rewarded by developing new lifelong skills, having the chance to network -- and learning the ins and outs of how a big-city election campaign works. It's a classic win-win. See the work we've already done by checking out my website: www.kerrydiotte.com Message me or call let me know how you can help me and how I can help you. There are only about six weeks or so before the Oct. 18 election. Contact me. Take the plunge as I did! You'll learn from it and have fun! -Kerry Diotte 780-935-5585 Post a CommentOops! The words you entered did not match the given text. Please try again. 0 Comments |
